Festive DIY: Colorful Gift Tray in 8 Easy Steps

Pack your gifts like chocolates or dry fruits in handpainted trays this festive season to add a personal touch to your gifting.This tray can be used for gifting or serving and is made in no time, choose a design you like and colour it using acrylic and glass colours

How can Make it? AGE GROUP: 12 yrs and above

PRODUCTS : Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Metallic – Silver 551 , Pearl Metallic – Gold 552, Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Glitter – Gold 401, Fevicryl – Water Based – Glass Colours, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Decoupage Tray

MATERIAL : Water Container, A4 Sized White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Sequins

Step 1

• Take a medium sized MDF wooden tray

Step 2

• Give a base coat of Acrylic Pearl Metallic – Silver
• You may give two coats for an even finish

Step 3

• Draw a paisley design on an A4 sized sheet and trace it on the tray using yellow carbon paper
• You may draw the paisleys directly on the tray if you wish to
• Outline the paisleys using Liquid Embroidery Glitter – Gold
• Leave it to dry

Step 4

• Fill in the Water Based Glass Colours in the design with colours of your choice
• Leave it to dry

Step 5

• Colour the remaining areas of the tray using Acrylic Pearl Metallic -Gold
• Leave it to dry

Step 6

• The outer border of the tray is divided into two halves horizontally
• Colour the upper half in Acrylic Pearl Metallic – Gold
• Lightly draw a scalloped design on the lower half of the tray

Step 7

• Border the paisleys with pink and gold coloured sequins, stuck using No Stitch Fabric glue and let it dry

Step 8
• Outline the scallops using Liquid Embroidery Glitter – Gold to complete the look
• Leave it to dry
