  3. When my wife was pregnant, doctors strictly recommend avoiding the green tea as it has caffeine but they allowed drinking Rooibos tea because it is caffeine-free and completely safe for pregnant women. I like the details you have mentioned but you can add a bit about herbal teas.

  4. Hi Sapana,
I am a breastfeeding mother to a 2 months old baby. Is it safe to have green tea (twice) plus lemon & honey in hot water (thrice) for weight loss.

Green tea contains only half of the caffeine than that in a black tea. Still 3 times a day would be more than recommended.
Also I personally think, there is no need to worry about the weight loss yet.
I myself put on 15 KGs of weight during first 3 months of breastfeeding but once my babies were 7 months, I started working on weight loss and lost it in 2-3 months. Naturally and gradually.
If you take Lemon and Honey in warm water, it wont harm your baby. but considering a newborn’s breast milk requirements, try to take all other healthy and protein rich foods too.

I am not a doctor and I dont consult doctor before advising. This is a personal blog and I share my opinion from my experiences and my research of the topic.
